Abby was a 2009 graduate of Wes-Del. After graduation she attended Western Carolina University earning her Bachelors Degree at in 2013 and her Masters Degree from Butler University in 2015. While at Wes-Del she competed in Volleyball earning 4 letters. Her teams were Sectional Champions every year. In her senior year, Wes-Del was ranked as one of the top 5 teams in class A and they lost to a tough Lafayette Central Catholic team in the Regional finals which was the last year before the restructuring of Regionals took place in 2009. During her 4 year high school career she was the only Wes-Del volleyball player recruited by a NCAA Division I school and signed her letter of intent to attend Western Carolina University on national signing day in the HS library. During her high school career she was selected to the all Mid Eastern Conference Team in 2007 and 2008, the All County Team in 2008, Second team All State in 2007 and First Team All State in 2008. During her college career at Western Carolina she was a 4 year letter winner. Following her freshman year she sustained a stress fracture on her L3 vertebrae but was able to complete her career under the care of the Western Carolina training staff, winning the Comeback Player of the Year Award after her Sophomore season. She feels fortunate to have been able to compete against nationally ranked teams like the University of Kentucky, Purdue University and the University of Oregon. She has served as the Chief Operating Officer of Quality Correctional Care for the last 10 years.
