Brett Marsh

Brett graduated from Wes-Del in 1979 and he participated in Baseball and Basketball. He was a 4 letter winner in Baseball and earned All County and All Conference all four years. Bret was a Co-Winner of the Most Valuable Player Award in 1977 and was the outright Most Valuable Player in Both 1978 and 1979. He led the team in Batting Average, home runs, and RBI’s in 1978 and led the team in Batting Average and RBI’s in 1979. He was a pitcher and also played 1st Base, 3rd Base and the outfield during his career. His favorite memory was defeating heavily favored Jay County in the 1977 Sectional pitching a complete game and hitting 2 home runs. Bret won 3 letters in Basketball and was a member of the 1977 Sectional Championship Team which was the first in school history. In 1978 he helped the team to a Delaware County Championship and White River Conference Championship. In 1978-79 season he was selected to the All County Tournament Team, the All Sectional Team, the All County Team and the All Conference Team and was the 3rd leading scorer in Delaware County. In 1979 he was selected as the Outstanding Senior Athlete at Wes-Del. His favorite basketball memory was defeating Yorktown and winning the 1978 County Tournament.
